TransLink Profiled in New Issue of Profil

The new issue of the business magazine Profil contains material devoted to the Russian interpreting and translation services market. The article includes a detailed history of the international language communication market, its current state, as well as problems and growth forecasts for the near future. The featured expert was Alexei Gerin, General Director of TransLink.

He talked about the shortage of specialists working with rare, exotic languages such as Farsi, Chinese and Arabic. Moreover, interpreters working with the "classical" languages are broadly represented on the interpreting and translation services market, and they are rather highly qualified.

In addition, Alexei Gerin offered a prediction about the vector that the market will follow. He says that companies engaged in the business can expect to specialize more than they do currently. Some companies will remain modest-sized organizations working on separate modest-sized orders, while others will be oriented towards linguistic support of large projects and simultaneous interpreting at high-level international events.

The new issue of Profil also features a ranking of the activeness of the interpreting agencies that had previously been published on our website. TransLink heads the list.
