Translink takes part in the CIUTI Forum2008
On the 24 and 25 of January the international CIUTI Forum2008, a very important event in the translation world, took place in Geneva. As usual
it gathered from all over the world many profession teachers of flagship higher education institutions, linguists, profession translators and
interpreters. Representatives of the UNO also took part in the event.
A specific feature of the forum this year was the increasing interest of Russian interpreters and specialists in the international communication field.
With the MFA Department for Linguistic Support Director A.B. Fyodorov the Conference had been visited by representatives of Russian translation agencies.
TransLink Translation Agency was represented by General Director Aleksey Victorovich Gerin.
Over a 2-day period, the delegates took part in the consideration of a set of questions concerning in some or other way the main point of the event:
enhancing translation quality. On the first day, consultations in fundamental concepts were out. The second day was devoted to more specific issues,
namely, working with beginning interpreters and enhancing the quality of written and verbal translation. On the same day in the round-table conference
its results were sum up and the conference participants could share their ideas concerning the main forum subject.
