In Tokyo Cars Will Be Labeled for Tourists

Taking into consideration the growing flow of tourists from abroad Tokyo authorities took the decision on obligatory application of inscriptions in the English language on patrol police cars. Such a step is explained by the fact that at present tourists who are not familiar with the Japanese language find it difficult to distinguish black and white police cars from numerous taxis.

Since February 18 new police cars will appear in the Tokyo streets with contrast signs "Police" on their sides and the rear bumper, and next to such signs there will be emblems of police service. Thanks to such measures numerous guests of the Japanese capital will easily distinguish guards of law and order.
